I don't know if anyone is watching this anymore but I got a Rodeo for Valentines day. :D What a wonderful wife I have.
Anyway, it is only going to get to a high of 24 here today so I wearing my SEV Ultimate Hoodie underneath the Rodeo. So far it has been plenty warm and I really like how it looks. :) The hood kept my ears from freezing during the walk from the parking lot.

Now if I can just figure out where to put all my stuff... so many pockets.. ;)

A nice addition to this jacket would be the ability to add a thin liner to enhance warmth.

How feasibly would the combination of the Rodeo jacket and the fleece section of the Tactical System work when worn together? I'm looking at getting all of those (probably spread out as 3 purchases--even if it's more expensive, it works better for me to spread it out), and would definitely like to have that option, especially with things looking to get mighty cold this winter...

Granted, some of the time I'd just use the full Tactical System. However, for days where I'd like to wear the Rodeo and it's too cold otherwise...

Scott:

I'll have to go home tonight and see if I can find them and will update the review.

As for the 237D, you must have missed one of my emails. I said we'd have the review posted by Friday of this week. :)

I think i found the missing pockets. In the corners of each of the external handwarmer pockets you will find a very small "change" pocket that closes with velcro That's 2. Then in the interior left when wearing side, near the bottom, you will find another pen pocket. Also, You can count 2 more pockets as the area behind the side seam zippers which can hold stuff and is accessible from the front. So there are 5 missing pockets. It is touch to keep track of them all.

When do you think the review of the 237d will be posted?

I have been carrying my wallet in the handwarmer pockets for awhile, and have never, ever had a problem with the magnets. Given their placement at the top, etc. I don't think it is likely that anyone will have a problem, but be very careful with hotel key cards.

Re pocket count, all i can say is that i counted them several times, previously, and am sure the count is correct, but it is difficult to recreate the count. Did you cound the BudBaskets, earbud pockets, and the pen holders, including the one in the inside lower left area?

Scott:

Thank you for your comments! Regarding the pocket count, I did count each ZIP-PIP as 2 and not 1. Later today I'll have to recount everything to see where I screwed up. As for the magnets, I would be careful as well. It would be interesting to do some sort of test just to see if prolonged wallet storage in either one of the deep hand pockets or breast pockets would cause credit card erasure.

Thanks for the review. Regarding your questions:

Pocket Count: Did you count the ZIP-PIP, zippered pocket in pockets, as one or 2 pockets. I count them as 2 because the zipper allows you to create 2 pockets where there was one.

Magnets: We have not experienced any problems with credit cards with the magnets, but I would be careful not to put credit card directly on the magnets just to be safe. The placement of the magnets is such that you are unlikely to have a credit card placed near the magnets. Having said all that, I would exercise caution when putting hotel key cards near the magnets since these are much easier to erase given the nature of them, ie, they are easily erased and re-usable.

Great review and pictures. Actually, I think you do a better job showing the jacket and its features than we do on our site.
