If you want, place the order w/o the hat, but email and ask to add the hat and charge for it but don’t increase shipping for it. It comes in the system as another full pound and thus the added charges. I am very sorry.

Very interesting. Shipping across puddles is indeed expensive.

I may buy a ScottEVest soon…it’s getting increasingly hard to fit a PDA, a cell phone, a pen, keys, and my iPod and earphones (when I decide to take my iPod) in two pockets in my pants. If only “man-bags” would come in vogue

Thanks for the reply.
I’m afraid I don’t know any one in the United States, I’ve only ever visited twice on holiday, to Florida. I won’t be going back ’till 2007 (after I’ve saved up again!)
I still can’t quite understand however how adding a cap adds $57 to the cost. the cap only cost $20, would be in the same package as the jacket. It can’t weigh that much!

That is our actual costs. I know it is very high. That does not include duties too. I would recommend shipping to someone you know in the US. We are very sorry.

I just tried to order one of these jackets and a cap, total cost $120, the shipping charge to the UK comes to $114!
That is just far too much to pay I’m afraid. I will have to do without.

RE: The Logos
It’s a funny thing about them. If you’re high end people want you to put your logo all over the place. If you’re up-and-coming using a lot of logos looks pretentious. Personally, I don’t mind logos as long as its done tastefully. A giant, glaring logo looks pretty ghetto and 5 giant, glarings logos looks worse.

THERE ARE NO GIANT GLARING LOGOS ON THIS ITEM AT ALL. IN FACT I HAVE TAKEN JULIE AND JUDIE’S SUGGESTIONS FROM THE INTIAL DESIGNS AND INCORP0RATED IT IN THIS ITEM.

The problem with “tastefully” is that everyone has different tastes. Scott Jordan has a bit of the marketer in him (which every company owner should). Hopefully he finds the right balance between elegant and ostentatious.

I BELIEVE THIS ITEM AND OTHER ITEMS REPRESENTS THAT BALANCE.

Yea, I agree. Personally, I think we do a lousy job showing our products and features online. Most people are much more impressed once they recieve the product. They are so very technical and most features are hidden which makes it difficult to show from photos alone. Thanks for the comments.

Thanks for posting those pictures! I really think it would be a service to your customers to include a similar picture for every one of your products. Sort of like a road map to show all the features. Just saying a product has X number of pockets is one thing, but actually pointing them all out is another.

Here are some excerpts of the technical drawings showing the pocket locations and other features too. These were not intended for the public, so they may have more information than you want. Let me know if you think we should modify these slightly and include on our website? BTW, we are looking for a good graphic designer, if you know of anyone let us know.

Great review! I would buy more of that SeV stuff if it wasn’t all so damn expensive.

Don’t worry about the hoodie shot. Everyone looks like a thug in a hood. I myself look like some terrible, sinister monk in a hood. (Because of that I won’t wear a hood even if my jacket has one and it’s pouring!)
