The problem with people always using 1,6,11 is that they often don't care if your already on that channel. Some times you need to scan to see what channels have the strongest 'interference' on...and set your AP to where it will hopefully see the least.... Though intermittently, I can pick up an open 'linksys' AP at work with it....though I no longer have a work laptop...so I haven't tried to see it.... The Dreamer.
