:( I have one of these that exploded and the company is horrible to deal with. They say they will honor the warrenty for two years but you have to show an original receipt and ship ALL the bits to them in Arizona before they will confirm replacement. Who saves receipts for everything for years? (not me obviousll) I would avoid this product at all cost...which by the way is VERY EXPENSIVE.

USB charging cables are available for practically EVERY cellphone, PDA, and gadget that you can think of, and are usually available as soon as the device is released, even for a new gadget like the Dell X50v Pocket PC with its new connector, and any Palm PDA you can think of.

I have a Motorola V60v which must be the "ugly red-headed step-child" of the Sprint PCS family.

Only recently did a car charger appear in the PCS online accessory catalog (though it is always marked "temporarily sold out") for my phone, because for some reason Motorola put a different V60 connector on this model.

In fact, the iGo Anywhere was originally sent to me to review, but the Motorola V clip would not fit my phone. Therefore, I passsed it on to Julie who fortunately did use a Motorola with the correct connector.

If there is a USB charging cable that will fit my phone, I have yet to find it, but it would make my day if there were one! I really do like my phone, even though there are a lack of accessories available for it. However, I can see that I will most likely be replacing it after a year or so - just because I need at least some basic accessories... <sigh>

I've used the iGo Juice for quite some time for my laptop, especially as it does both airline and regular wall outlets. The one maddening thing about iGo is that it takes them forever to produce "tips" for new cell phones and PDA's. I just recently asked them about when a tip for the Tungsten T5 would be available, and their response was that they had just heard of it and would think about making one if enough people asked them to!

So, the iGo tips are only useful if you continually use 2-3 year old technology (they're still selling tips for Palm Vx's), but don't count on them for anything new.

Cheers,

Well, if you charge mainly little gadgets like MP3 players, PDAs or cellphones, then a really simple and cheap solution is just to buy a tiny 4 port USB hub, power it using a 1000-2000mAH AC/DC adaptor (or a AC to USB adaptor), and charge your devices using their USB charging cable ! You don't need a PC to use the charging capabilities of the USB hub.

USB charging cables are available for practically EVERY cellphone, PDA, and gadget that you can think of, and are usually available as soon as the device is released, even for a new gadget like the Dell X50v Pocket PC with its new connector, and any Palm PDA you can think of.

As a bonus, you can charge up to 4 devices at a time, although each port is limited to 500mAH. So it takes 3 hours to charge a PDA. But who cares ?

As a second bonus, you won't lose the tiny iGo tips, and, in the case of PDAs, the charging cable doubles as sync cables.
