Judie’s Gear Diary – 2004-05-17

Julie is right, things have been quiet in our gear diaries. Here's my reason: Steve's parents and his cousin Amy came in from Florida, so we spent a little bit of time at the ranch and then went to Fort Davis. Julie and I will be going to both places again when she comes here in 2 weeks, so I don't want to say too much – other than that I have never seen either look so green! Spring 2004 has been so wet and wonderful, and cool. Texas weather can be so wacky, but I am not complaining!!
I got a chance to really put my new Olympus C-750 through its paces, and I must say it did a wonderful job. I certainly wish that I had had its 40x zoom when we went to the 4Corners Area! I was able to take pictures of wildlife that appeared as if the animal were right in front of me – not from over 20 feet away. Zoom is good…
