If i were you i'd still contact the company and state your situation, i mean what do you have to lose? It 'FUBAR'-ed my serial port on my 2215... It seems the cable wasn't completely insulated or something, it shortcircuiteded somewehre and blew my serial connection :( My advice : don't buy this !
