I suppose I found out why the Brandos are better.

The ARM that I got for my TH-55 Clie had three tabs on it to help separate the cover from its packaging, but I still had quite a lot of trouble, and never was able to get it entirely free from lint and oil, nor get it properly positioned. It eventually got a bend in it or got scratched by my fingernail (I got two figuring I was a newbie :o and would screw the first one up, and these were their fates), so I was less than pleased. Luckily, my vendor (Global Source PDA, they get a plug for being nice ;) ) was kind enough to offer a free replacement for one of them.

I will get the Brando as a replacement and will report on that one when I have tried it.

I repeat for those who like the ARM (I don't) that it now comes with tabs to help pull the various layers of packaging apart; they work OK but not great. :D

Altema, the best way to do it is to lay a long piece of tape on the protector and use it to lift up the corner nearest the lint. Once you have it lifted, take a second piece of tape and lay it against the lint as many times as is necessary - sticky side down. Works like a charm every time! :)

Hi Judie, I know that these are not like the old style sticky adhesive protectors, but just how you get the lint off of the adhesive side?

Just wondering if there was a special method. I currently use the BoxWave protectors which have an anti-glare finish and have no problem for myself, but I bought one for a friend and it got bumped against her sweater during installation. I removed it, washed it with warm water and let it dry, but it's still not 100%. Any tips?
