I'm from the UK (Isle of Wight) and have just ordered the pro New Yorker loop for my Panasonic LX3. If I get on with it, I will order the belt type for my eos 5d, though I do like my Optech pro neck strap as well. As for metal buckles I don't think they work near camera surfaces, so I think good plastic buckle, or rubber/neoprene buckle might be best to prevent the scrathing of camera body surfaces and holding the strap firmly.

Wow - it seems as if we are talking about two different products!

I just tuck my extra belt under the slider, and I have not had the scratching issue.

Sorry your experience was so bad - I am very happy with mine. :0)

Just got my Pro Strap based on this review - and whoa! Major issues!

A large metal buckle is attached to the end of the well made strap, yet is so large, the pin wobbles into a small, unsupported hole in the 6 inch nylon strap.

I had 4 inches of extra nylon flapping around, but found a way to clip it down - nothing provided for that - sort of like a big belt end with no belt loops to hold it.

The biggest issue was that using it for the first day, the nylon slipped out of the buckle (it moves back and forth because the buckle is so large) - and the cord slipped right off the camera!

If I had not been paying attention, my Canon would have been history! I cannot be the only one with this problem - and on top of everything else, the metal buckle is so large it scratched up the side of my camera.

UPDATE: Mitch called me from ProStrap right away to see what was up - great followup. I am forwarding pics to him so he can see what happened. Offered to replace/refund - whatever I wanted and was truely interested in how he can help figure this out.UPDATE

I realized that BPS Belt Style is $14.99 . And, the rest are $9.99.

The price tage and the pic on the front page (which is BPS Belt Style) will confuse people.

Hmmmm - are you sure that that's not the price including shipping?

I just went through the motions of ordering one and $4.95 for S&H was added, bringing the toal to $14.94.

The price is not right. It is $9.99 on their front page, but it shows up $14.99 when I check out.
I emailed them to ask why, but never got reply.
