Been using this over a month now. Very nice feel. Don't notice it is in my ear after a while. The connector that shipped installed on mine was a bit wide for my ear. Tonight I put a longer/slimmer one on and it fit my ear much closer -- similar to how their headphones will fit tightly and block the sound out.

I have the ER earphones and the ety.com headset and both are excellent products. One thing that has really enhanced my enjoyment of the earphones is using custom-made earmolds instead of the earplugs that come with the earphones. The earplugs work great but the custom earmolds are - of course - a perfect fit for my ear and are more comfortable for longer periods of time.

It is too bad that the shank for the ety.com headset and the earphones are different sizes so you cannot use the same set of earmolds with both devices. I don't hink that I can afford to have another set of molds made just for the cell phone.

I think that ER missed an opportunity here....

Thanks for the review. I bought the Etymotic headphones for my Ipod and absolutely love them. At the gym it keeps out the annoying background noises and lets you listen only to the music on the IPOD.

Just bought the ety.com and looking forward to trying it out. I'm sold on the sound cancelling qualities of their products.

Thx!

$70 seems like a LOT of money for a wired no frills headset. I FULLY empathize with your feelings on NOT feeling the headset, and have used dozens of headsets over the years trying to find the right one. Some pinched my ear, some hurt the inner ear, some had bad microphones, etc.

I do believe that I now have found the BEST headset for people like us who want a non-intrusive, comfortable, no frills, high quality headset:

Plantronics Over-the-Ear Headset for Motorola V60, V70, V120, T720 Series Cell Phones - Gray/black Model: MX153

This headset has a VERY loose over the BOTTOM of the ear clip. It goes over your lobe instead of the top of the ear so it doesn't pinch the cartilage (which is what really causes the most discomfort).

Go to Best Buy (or your local electronics store) and check one of these out. They're $30 which is less than half the price of the ETY.com headset and well worth the price.
