Are there any wires to solder, etc? Or is this just a pull out stick back in kind of replacement?

Thanks!

mmmkay,

If you go to the Foxconn.com HP parts store, you will see the battery for the Dual expansion pack here It is listed as a 2000mAH battery and costs ~$91 + change. Also, according to the site, the Dual pack only has one battery. The Foxconn p/n is 3S620-001. The Foxconn p/n for the 1600mAH battery is 3S619-001. Unfortunately the connector in the picture is inverted so it is not possible to tell if the 1600mAH battery would be compatible. It might be worth it just for the cost savings, but you are giving up some battery capacity. The Foxconn site is a neat place to find hard to come by parts for the iPaqs, but not cheaply.

I think the part number is 167648.

I'm wondering whether these would fit into the dual slot PC card sleeve since it has two of these batteries inside the sleeve.

Altema,

I didn't notice any appreciable difference in the size and thickness. It fit right into the area where the old battery was and I had no trouble closing the unit back up. I believe the battery also has the same HP/Compaq part number as the battery in the Expansion Pack Plus.
Hope this helps...

Regards,
Clint

Clint, is the replacement battery exactly the same size as the original, or is it slightly thicker? I know it's internal, but most devices have a hair or two of extra space inside.
