How many of you are aware that after Nov. 24, a new federal regulation will allow us, for the first time, to keep our cellphone numbers when we change mobile services?
This will affect all mobile phone companies and will in effect give us as consumers a much more powerful position when we are considering which company to sign our contracts with. No longer will we not make a switch because we are concerned about the potential loss of business or calls to our “old” mobile number when we switch to the “new.” Now we get to keep our same number – just as we have been able to do with our home phones when we switched carriers.
