It’s been a while since I wrote a review about PDA screen protectors, and I
was starting to wonder if any more companies were going to come out with
something new. Well, Innopocket has
stepped up and introduced their new Screen Protection Filter for some of the
more popular PDAs, including the Palm V/m500 series, the Compaq/HP iPAQ series,
and the Sony NR and T series CLIÉs.

innopocket screen protector 1 These protectors are very similar to the
Brando version that I
reviewed last year, in that they are reusable, have a slightly sticky
surface, and a slightly opaque look that is billed as anti-glare.

The
Innopocket Protectors are very easy to install due to the low grade adhesive
that they use in combination with a heavier plastic than most regular
stick-on protectors will generally have.

These protectors come with a thin film covering on the back
side that must be removed before you can complete their installation. Once
the film is removed, you can lay the protector on with a "rolling" motion,
which almost guarantees a bubble-free screen.

Like many of the protectors that proclaim themselves as "anti-glare," the
Innopocket is also slightly opaque. I really prefer having the glare, as I
like a clearer protector on my screen.

Writing with a stylus on the protector is smooth – although there is just
a little bit more of a drag than there would be with a naked screen.

There is one protector per pack, and with the use I have subjected mine to, I
suspect that it should remain scratch free for many months.

I do have one complaint with this protector, and while it may not seem major
to some, it really did annoy me. When I went to remove the protector from my
screen, I found that I had an icky residue left from the adhesive! ACK.

  2. I have the iSkin EXO Electra. I am normally very conservative, so I figured a glow-in-the-dark blue case would be a nice change. The case is very well made, and Lajo (the designer) is very responsive.

I’ve dropped my iPod several times since I got the case. Thank goodness for the protection!

  3. Hi,
Just read the review, would like to add that the belt clip attatchment is completely removable, not just the clip itself, but with a screwdriver you can actually unscrew the part it attaches to. It is left recessed below the silicone and does not protrude at all. Nice, I keep my belt clip off because I don’t use it and it is great that it has this option. Very unique.

A good site to see them is http://www.theistore.com . It is definitely the best site to see all the colors selection. Also all the eXo’s at the iStore come with a bonus case to carry the accessories or I keep my iSkinned iPod in this case when I travel so that it doesn’t turn on and off and drain the batteries.

Overall this is the best iPod case.

  4. Does the metal of the backing scratch the ipod in any way? Or does the silicone cover it?

(My iSkin shipped out a few days ago, it should be in my mailbox this afternoon!)

  5. I know this may sound a bit loopy but wont inserting and removing the ipod from the skin itself be a reason for the beautiful back to be scratched ?? otherwise i think its a great idea.

  6. I remember reading somewhere on this site about a product that removes scratches from the surface of an iPod. I don’t think that it had it’s own review, I think you mentioned it while reviewing one of the cases.

Can you tell me where I can find info on this product?
