Hmmm, I don't know which I want when Number Portability comes out....

Do I hope that Verizon will actually try to keep me as a customer or somebody else try to entice me to break my contract and switch.

I signed a 2 year contract last year....but lots of dropped calls and loss of signal at work. And...it has been over 18 months...and they still haven't done anything.

Can anybody hear me now? Well, not with Verizon....

Other than at the office, the service has been okay (though a picture phone has a certain appeal to me, even though it would probably be something I would only use for a month....;) ) Though since it looks like there won't be any travel in my future (at least for work)....having good roaming service is no longer an issue for me. It becomes whether I can get service at home, at work and at my parents (in Calgary).

Meanwhile, NP doesn't help my home phone situation....since I already got a new phone number when I switched to VOIP (Vonage). Though I suppose it gives me that level of protection if Vonage should go away....or I switch to a different VOIP provider....like if Time Warner offers it in Columbus....and the resolution of QOS/latency only benefits their offering....
