I picked up a Belkin travel charger on sale for $9. It works ok, but does not lock onto the device securely. You can pickup the power to go for $53 online. I agree with Julie that $100 is way too much.

The primary advantage is that you don't have to even think about looking for a power outlet anywhere. Going on vacation with enough juice to last a month (IF you are a normal user) is great. I get about two full charges out of mine in addition to whatever charge happens to be in the Palm, which usually works out to about 5 hours of total runtime on the T3 per charge.

I think $40 is quite expensive for a travel charger isn't it?

You might be interested in this $45 Proporta complete charger however:

Well in the UK I could get it for £38 which is around $63. Not bad eh? For a 12 hour trip on the plane this is great product not having to remember getting batteries. Of course I am also waiting for the price of the Guyver to drop below $150.

I'm not arguing with you. I personally would not plunk down $100 for this product... :p

Granted you don't need to be near an outlet. My point is that outlets are really the only univesal thing (hot sync cables, car adapters, sleds like this etc are intersting but fundamentally if you're travelling for a couple weeks you're going to need an outlet, hence you might as well pick up a travel kit and be done with it - you're covered arout the world then).

Thanks for such a great site!

There is a difference between this product and a travel charger, with the Power to Go, you don't need to be near an outlet. It is a standalone charger. Just attach it to the PDA and it begins charging.

Why bother with the Palm Power to Go Sled at $99.95 when the Travel charger is smaller, lighter, cheaper and works with power/plugs around the world (I paid around $40 with tax). I got a Palm Travel Charger for my new T3 and it works just great!

I paid $30-40 for it but i notice the one on the Palm site is now called the Air/Travel Charging Kit and includes a whole bunch of boat, car, etc adapters and a USB hotsync cable for syncing/charging and is $30 more! Check out the stores for the old kit while its still available!
