@bench I just don’t think you’ll be able to find parts or customer service for that device since it hasn’t been manufactured in many years. Please do ask HP. Good luck.

@julie, did you mean its useless because its hard to find a parts of of 3850 like battery even the customer service?

@bench I’m sorry, but Compaq was purchased by HP a few years ago and I doubt that these older PDAs can be serviced. You might want to contact HP though and ask to make sure.

i purchase compaq ipaq 3850 one year ago but i don’t no how to use it. it is operated by bettery .bettery r inbilt or not because when i put out from the socate it was close. so pls give some information about it

Thank you sooo much for this review…..I know its 10 years old but just managed to get hold of one of these for very few $$. Sounds like perfect solution to my ‘which cheap ereader’ problem.

@azeem The Gadgeteer isn’t a store or a tech support firm. This review is 10yrs old and Compaq no longer sells or supports this device. Your best bet is to get on eBay to search for a charger.

I just found a 3835 Ipaq at a garage sale for $3.00 It has everything but I have never had or been around any pcoket pc’s. I have no idea how old this is or if the capabilities have been expanded. I does not have any memory cards in it. I want to buy memory cards and find out what programs are available for it now. Can anyone help me get started?
