Device:
Gameboy Color, Gameboy Pocket

The Gameboy Color and Gameboy Pocket are great little handheld game devices except for
one thing: You can’t play with them in the dark. That is until now… Nyko’s Wormlight will allow you to play games on your
Gameboy Color or Gameboy Pocket in the dark.

The Wormlight has a lamp, a connector and flexible body. This allows you to adjust it to
basically any angle that you want. The Wormlight also doesn’t require a battery or
external power source. It plugs into the datalink connector port on the Gameboy and steals
power directly from it. It’s very easy to connect and unconnect the Wormlight. Just plug
it in or pull it out.

The Wormlight uses a patented white light source and according to the literature, never
needs a bulb replacement. The little light bulb is surprisingly bright for its size.
Actually using the Wormlight with your Gameboy does take a bit of getting used to. Because
the light is so close to the screen, there are some glare problems. I also found that the
reflection of the bulb on the screen was very distracting at first. But, once I fiddled
around with the angle of the light and the angle that I was holding the unit, things
weren’t so bad.

I personally wouldn’t want to use the Wormlight all the time. But for those times when you
want to play in dim or dark conditions, it works pretty well. And since it doesn’t require
batteries and is pretty inexpensive, I think that the Wormlight is a pretty good value.

  3. Ordered one almost a month ago and still haven’t received it. Credit card was charged almost 30 days ago. The only response I geti for the last 2 1/2 weeks is my order is in the final stages brought over fours cases from them previously and each order takes progressively longer. :-[
